A Gallery of Botanical Gardens

Welcome to A Tout le Monde
(To All the World)

Thanks to the Magnolia Society International, American Conifer Society, American Holly Society, the American Rhododendron Society, the American Daylily Society, and the American Rose Society whose meetings and members have taught me plant appreciation and the opportunity to visit gardens in Australia, New Zealand, Cuba, Galapagos, South Africa, England, France, Belgium, Poland, and numerous private gardens and arboretums in the US.

Thanks to local nurseries (South Pleasantburg Nursery), University Plant Sales (J.C. Raulston and Clemson U.) and mail order catalogs that specialize in rare trees, shrubs, and perennials for helping to fil the gardens with a stunning example of plant life in a gorgeous array of garden landscapes.

Thanks to my workers Steve and Alvin for digging all the holes and doing it over.

And thanks to my grandson Malachi for accompanying me on visits to reference gardens from Maine to Florida

This ten-acre treasure along the Saluda River in Travelers Rest will surprise you at every turn as you follow each path and trail that winds around the estate. If you cannot visit in person, I hope you enjoy this online collection of photos from the garden. Be sure to click each photo for a larger view or to scroll through the gallery.
